Job summary

EY Jakarta is seeking a Statutory Senior Associate to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements in line with local regulations. You will coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure accurate filings and compliance.

With 3–5 years of relevant experience, you will analyse financial data, drive process improvements, and mentor junior staff while supporting EY’s broader CBS Finance agenda in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with GPA ≥ 3.20 from a reputable university.
• 3–5 years of experience in statutory reporting, financial reporting, accounting, audit, or tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and taxation regulations.
• Experience in preparing financial statements and supporting statutory audits.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory reports, tax filings, and regulatory documents.
• Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and provide recommendations for compliance and accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators during reporting and audit processes.
• Support the annual financial audit with schedules, reconciliations, and necessary documentation.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and tax regulations and assess impact on the organization.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members on statutory reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and internal controls.
• Respond to financial and regulatory inquiries with relevant analysis.
• Complete related assignments and special projects to meet finance objectives.

Job Description:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of statutory reports, tax filings, and other regulatory documents to relevant authorities.
• Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and provide recommendations to support compliance and reporting accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies during statutory reporting and audit processes.
• Support the annual financial audit by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required supporting documentation.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements, and assess their impact on the organization.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior team members on statutory reporting and compliance-related matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Respond to financial and regulatory inquiries by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant information.
• Accomplish finance and organizational objectives by completing related assignments and special projects as required.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.20 out of 4.00 from a reputable university (local or overseas).
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in statutory reporting, financial reporting, accounting, audit, or tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation regulations.
• Experience in preparing financial statements, supporting statutory audits, and handling regulatory reporting requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Prior experience in a professional services firm, multinational company, or shared services environment will be an advantage.
