Job summary

PT SMART Tbk (SMART) seeks a technical professional to assist carbon project development at our Jakarta head office. You will contribute to emissions baselines, data gathering, and documentation for project design under recognized standards.

You will also perform GIS-based analyses for early screening and ensure alignment with VCS, Gold Standard, and related program requirements, collaborating with senior technical staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Forestry, Biology or Geography.
• 5+ years of working experience in Carbon Fields.
• Foundational knowledge of voluntary carbon standards (VCS and Gold Standard).
• Exposure to Project Design Document (PDD) components: baselines, additionality, leakage, monitoring, uncertainty.
• Awareness of AFOLU-related carbon project types is advantageous.
• Basic experience with GIS software (QGIS/ArcGIS).
• Proficiency in Excel for data management and checks.
• Ability to support technical documentation per program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support development of emissions baselines and data compilation for carbon projects.
• Assist in preparing Project Design Documents under VCS and Gold Standard.
• Support GIS-based spatial analyses for project screening and boundary delineation.
• Contribute to data analysis, documentation, and compliance with methodologies.
