Job summary

Seven Retail is seeking a Business Strategy Associate with 1–3 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, growth strategy, or related strategic roles to join our Strategy team.

You will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on high-impact strategic projects across Seven Retail's multi-brand ecosystem, contributing to Growth Strategy and Corporate Strategy initiatives and turning insights into tangible business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in management consulting or related strategic roles.
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, finance, or related disciplines.
• Strong structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven thinking.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic projects related to growth, market expansion, and corporate strategy.
• Conduct market, customer, competitor, and business performance analyses to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop structured, data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Build business cases, financial analyses, and scenario assessments to evaluate opportunities.
• Support strategic planning and evaluation of new business opportunities.
• Translate strategic recommendations into actionable initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Track business performance and key initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate partnerships, expansion opportunities, and other strategic initiatives.
• Prepare presentations and executive materials for senior leadership discussions.
• Take ownership of assigned workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs from problem definition through execution.

As a Business Strategy Associate, you'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on high-impact strategic projects across Seven Retail's multi-brand ecosystem. Depending on your experience, strengths, and business needs, you may contribute to Growth Strategy, focusing on growth opportunities, market expansion, and business performance, or Corporate Strategy, focusing on strategic planning, business evaluation, financial analysis, and company-wide strategic priorities.

Your Day-to-Day

Depending on the business priorities, you may:

1. Support strategic projects related to growth, market expansion, and corporate strategy
2. Conduct market, customer, competitor, and business performance analysis to identify growth opportunities
3. Develop structured, data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
4. Build business cases, financial analyses, and scenario assessments to evaluate strategic opportunities
5. Support strategic planning and evaluation of new business opportunities
6. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic recommendations into actionable initiatives
7. Track business performance and key initiatives, identifying opportunities and potential areas for improvement
8. Support the evaluation of partnerships, expansion opportunities, and other strategic initiatives
9. Prepare presentations, business cases, and executive materials for senior leadership discussions
10. Take ownership of assigned workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs from problem definition through execution

Who We’re Looking For

1. 1–3 years of professional experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Growth Strategy, Business Strategy, or related strategic roles
2. Experience from leading management consulting firms is highly preferred
3. Bachelor's degree from a top university; Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines are preferred
4. Strong structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven thinking
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights and recommendations
6. Demonstrated ability to work on ambiguous and complex business problems
7. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
8. Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
9. Strong ownership and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver under tight timelines
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
11. Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides
