Job summary

Glints in Jakarta is seeking a hands-on Business Operations / Business Development specialist to drive vendor sourcing, partner connections, and retail/distributor coordination across Indonesia. The role is on-site in Jakarta with field-based travel across the country.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in ops or partnerships, strong Indonesia market knowledge, and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English. You’ll work in a fast-paced, remote-aligned structure and travel as needed.

As they anchor their expansion into Southeast Asia, they are seeking to hire an on-ground Business Operations / Business Development specialists based in Jakarta to drive local vendor sourcing, partner connections, and retail/distributor coordination across Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Sourcing: Research, evaluate, and coordinate local vendors, suppliers, and service providers to support operational requirements.
• Local Business Outreach: Connect with relevant businesses, industry professionals, communities, and commercial stakeholders via digital and in-person channels.
• Store & Distributor Coordination: Coordinate directly with local retail stores and distributors to optimize product availability, maintain vendor relations, and manage logistics.
• Sales & Ops Execution: Support ground-level sales operations, tracking execution, and managing continuous operational follow-ups.
• Regional Travel: Travel across key regions in Indonesia for vendor visits, commercial meetings, and business development outreach.
• Reporting & Tracking: Maintain contact databases, vendor matrices, and operational trackers, delivering periodic updates to overseas leadership.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years preferred (2+ years considered based on assessment) in business operations, business development, partnerships, sales support, or distribution.
• Local Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Indonesia's retail and distribution ecosystem; candidates currently residing in Bali are strongly preferred.
• Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Mobility: Willingness and capability to travel independently across Indonesia for field visits and meetings.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Workspace and comfortable leveraging AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for research and execution.
• Personal Attributes: High ownership, strong relationship-building capabilities, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote-aligned structure.
