Job summary

Worley Indonesia is seeking a Business Development Director to lead strategic growth in the energy, chemicals and resources sectors. You will drive market development, build key client relationships, and secure high-value contracts while guiding a multidisciplinary BD team.

Based in Jakarta, this role focuses on shaping complex assignments, expanding the project portfolio, and delivering sustainable value through thoughtful leadership and market insight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in business development within EPC or related engineering industries.
• Proven track record of securing large-scale projects and managing complex negotiations.
• Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle and commercial frameworks.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Growth & Market Development: Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Identify emerging markets, trends, and opportunities within the Energy, Chemical and Resources sectors.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of projects and clients.
• Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations.
• Lead negotiations and secure high-value contracts.
• Ensure exceptional client experience and long-term engagement.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with leadership, engineering, procurement, and project teams to align proposals with client needs.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to BD team.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
• Financial & Commercial Management: Develop pricing strategies and commercial models for projects.
• Monitor market competitiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• KPIs & Performance Metrics: Annual revenue growth from new projects, partnerships, pipeline, client satisfaction, and market share.
