Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced HSE Field Inspector to lead safety governance across projects in Indonesia. You will mentor project teams, deliver HSSE plans and training, and drive compliance with Indonesian safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, incident investigations, site inspections, and ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Responsible for evaluating and monitoring construction contractors and sub-contractors HSSE performance and ensure compliance to OQ HSSE policies HSSEMS.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement comprehensive HSE plans, strategies, and procedures, aligning with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard identification, actively participating in safety meetings and discussions to ensure potential risks are recognized and mitigated.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting, striving to identify lessons learned and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with HSE standards, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to enhance safety and environmental performance
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and deliver HSE training programs, workshops, and toolbox talks, fostering a culture of awareness and responsibility among project personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE data, incidents, inspections, and audits, and compile reports for project stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on HSE matters, acting as a resource for best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Deliver Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental inductions to new start employees and subcontractors as required
  • Acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge and awareness of the workplace environment to identify and manage work hazards and incidents.

  • Requirements:
  • Experience having demonstrated effective HSE leadership and management in a similar sized project, or across multiple locations within a similar industry.
  • Experience in managing and controlling budgets.
  • Ability to build effective relationships, network, build teams and proactively support the business.
  • Strong working knowledge of OH&S legislation and industry standards.
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in HSE roles within the resources, construction and infrastructure sectors
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a HSE Field Inspector
  • Have the experience and skills to set the standard and drive the rest of the team to excel in HSE
  • Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in HSE. Including experience in strategic planning within a commercial environment and demonstrable experience in driving industry leadership in HSE performance. Experience in building strong people relationships (both internal and external), general management practices and experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Minimum have POM in accordance with Indonesian Mines Department safety regulations and General Safety (AK3 Umum) from Man Power Ministry.
  • Demonstrate behaviour and business practices commensurate with a culture of world’s best health, safety and environmental performance.
  • Assist in developing, communicating, implementing and regularly review systems, strategies, standards and processes (including environmental plans or health management programs) that:
  • Minimise the potential impact of work activities or work sites on the environment;
  • Manage the impact of work activities or work sites managed by WorleyParsons on the environment
  • Manage recovery from environmental incidents;
  • Promote safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplaces and behaviour, including workplaces not managed by WorleyParsons and behaviour when not at work;
  • Manage workplace illness and injury.
  • Acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge and awareness of the workplace environment to identify and manage work hazards and incidents.
