Job summary

Generali Indonesia is seeking an Actuary lead to guide data analytics and forecasting for strategic business decisions in Jakarta. You will supervise a team to monitor data, develop insights, and support actuarial assumptions with Prophet and advanced Excel modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, finance or related field.
• At least 1 year in same role or 5 years overall experience.
• Strong actuarial knowledge, Prophet proficiency, Excel skills, and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Lead the team in monitoring and analyzing data to generate insights that support strategic business decisions.
• Manage team to forecast company business financial figures for the future.
• Support the Chief Actuary for creation of actuarial assumption proposal based on data analysis outcomes.
• Manage the team in maintaining and modeling new products using prophet software.
• Participate in product and risk reviews for all product lines and responsible for performing risk assessments based on different factors i.e. costs and predicted future insurance loss.
• Ensure consistency and quality in actuarial valuations process with appropriate controls, including peer reviews.
• Assist the Chief Actuary in developing metrics, analyses and reports for management, including New Business Value analysis and the Financial Condition Report.
• On an ad-hoc basis, provide financial expertise in various cross-functional teams including Accounting, Finance, IT and Operations.

Requirements

• Min. bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or a related field.
• Min. 1 year experience in the same role or 5 years working experience.
