SITE LOCATION OF POSITION: Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation Department

TERM/HOURS OF POSITION: Hours for this position will vary based on operational needs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION

Under the direction of the facilities and transportation director, and in association with the lead bus driver, drives a school bus over designated routes for the purpose of transporting students to and from school and/or school-related activities; maintains student discipline on the bus; submits daily reports as required; cleans and washes buses; monitors fluids and lubricants on buses; and makes minor repairs. Performs district maintenance and operation duties as designated by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• First aid and CPR certification required.

License and Certificate Requirements

• Possession of the required California Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
• Possession of a School Bus Driver's Certificate issued by California Highway Patrol including passing a first aid examination.
