Job summary
Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd. seeks an experienced Messman to support galley operations aboard a vessel in Indonesia. You will assist the Chief Cook, keep galley, mess rooms and accommodation areas clean, and help with meal service on schedule.
Requirements include a Messman Certificate, STCW trainings, food safety/hygiene certification, and at least 8 months in the same rank. Experience in multicultural crews and good English are essential for safe, efficient teamwork.
Qualifications
- Messman Certificate required per MLC.
- STCW certifications required.
- Food safety/hygiene training certificate required.
- Experience in multicultural environment.
- Adequate English language skills with safety mindset.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Cook and maintain the cleanliness of the galley, mess rooms, and accommodation areas.
- Serve meals during regular schedule in the messrooms.
- Assist in provisions handling and storage.

Holder of Messman Certificate (as per MLC requirements)
Holder of valid STCW training certifications required for the position
Holder Food safety/hygiene training certificate
Experienced in multicultural environment.
Adequate English language skills with safety-focused mindset.
Minimum experience requirements: 8 months in Rank on the same type of vessel.
Experience in trading area USA and Australia is recommended.
Contract Duration [9 months +/- 1 months]
