Job summary

PT Bukit Muria Jaya is seeking an experienced Boiler & Compressor Section Head to lead boiler and compressor operations in Karawang, West Java. This full-time role requires strong leadership to drive reliability, safety, and maintenance across critical equipment, while guiding engineers and technicians.

You will oversee daily plant operations, optimize energy use, implement preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards and ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in boiler and compressor systems operation.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial engineering or related.
• Strong boiler and compressor design, operation, maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with biomass boiler operations.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency with CMMS and tech docs software.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of boilers and compressors to ensure uninterrupted steam and air supply.
• Manage start-up and shutdown safely.
• Conduct thermal efficiency tests and optimize energy consumption.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules.
• Identify technical anomalies before failures.
• Manage spare parts inventory and budgets.
• Support readiness for biomass utility installations.
• Contribute to energy efficiency and ISO standards compliance.
• Supervise engineers and technicians with safety protocols.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for unsafe conditions.
• Prepare operational reports and technical documentation.
