Job summary

IDS Medical Systems Group seeks a Head of Biomedical Engineering/Service for Energy Based Devices to lead the engineering department and drive service excellence. You will oversee operations, project delivery, and customer support while assuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

You will develop teams, manage inventories and service contracts, and build strong relationships with hospitals and stakeholders to identify new service opportunities and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in the medical equipment industry, including hospital service environments.
• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong project management and operational management experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in quality systems, service operations, inventory management, and customer service management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Engineering department to achieve service excellence, operational efficiency, and business growth.
• Develop, coach, and enhance the competency of engineering teams through training and performance management.
• Oversee service operations, project execution, commissioning, turnaround time, service contracts, and customer support.
• Ensure compliance with GDPMD, ISO, quality standards, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory, working capital, spare parts planning, and engineering resources to optimize productivity.
• Build strong relationships with customers, hospitals, principals, and key stakeholders to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, resolve technical and operational issues, and identify new service opportunities.
