Job summary

PT Bank CTBC Indonesia is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to oversee QA for banking software, defining testing strategies and leading a QA team to deliver reliable, secure solutions. You will mentor engineers, design test plans, oversee functional, regression, performance, security, and UAT tests, and drive metrics and continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This role requires strong SDLC knowledge, hands-on QA tooling, and collaboration with product managers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role.
• Proven experience in testing financial applications or systems, preferably within the banking industry.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Expertise in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
• Proficiency in using defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL for data validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for banking applications and systems.
• Oversee the execution of various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, security, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure testability.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects, working with development to ensure timely resolution.
• Establish and report on key quality metrics and KPIs to measure and monitor the effectiveness of the QA process.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new testing methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team and across the development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
• Participate in release planning and readiness activities.
