Job summary

Sea Labs Indonesia is seeking a Software Engineer for the Marketplace Order Operations team. You will contribute to return/refund, clearing and settlement features, and work with engineers and product managers to deliver scalable platforms.

You will design distributed systems, write clean, well-tested code, and collaborate with QA and operations to ensure high availability and performance in Shopee's ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Backend server development experience.
• Familiar with Golang, Python, C++, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience with MySQL, Redis and Kafka.
• Kubernetes (K8S) Microservice Architecture.
• Understanding of HTTP/TCP protocols and data formats like XML/JSON/Protobuffers.
• Experience with distributed systems and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Realizing business goals through implementing features to Shopee as a platform, including return/refund and clearing and settlement.
• Designing and building distributed systems optimized for performance, availability, and user experience.
• Writing high-quality, clean, and maintainable code with unit tests, CI, automation, and design patterns.
• Researching and executing projects to enhance system functionalities and shared middlewares.
• Collaborating in a cross-functional environment with engineers, PMs, QA, and Ops to deliver impact.
