Job summary

PT. ASTRO is seeking a backend-focused developer to design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and services in its Jakarta office. The role emphasizes clean code, performance optimization, and strong collaboration with frontend and QA teams.

The candidate should have 2–4 years of experience, a CS/IT degree, and proficiency in at least one backend language. English and Bahasa Indonesia communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 2–4 years of backend development experience.
• Proficient in at least one backend language (Node.js/Go/Java/Python).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and query optimization.
• Familiar with REST API design and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and basic security.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
• Optimize database queries and improve system performance.
• Integrate third-party services (e.g., email, notification, calendar, and payment providers).
• Collaborate with frontend and QA teams to ensure smooth feature delivery.
• Investigate and fix bugs reported from staging and production.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Monitor system health, logs, and alerts, and respond to incidents when needed.
