Job summary

IOM in Jakarta seeks a Programme Assistant (AVRR) to provide essential administrative and operational support for Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration activities. The role reports to the Senior Movement Operations Associate and involves handling case management, information verification, and coordination with multiple units.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with two years of relevant experience or high school diploma with four years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with vulnerable groups (migrants, refugees, IDPs, trafficking victims) is required.
• Experience with AVRR or movement operations is essential.
• Experience with international humanitarian organizations or government institutions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist AVRR activities and provide information and operational support for migrants and returnees.
• Support preparation and facilitation of voluntary return movements and ensure case and travel requirements are met.
• Collect and verify information for migrant assistance and contribute to reintegration planning.
• Maintain and update case management systems and databases for monitoring and reporting.
• Provide administrative and logistical support, including correspondence and event coordination.
• Communicate with IOM units and missions regarding returnee assistance and report issues promptly.
