Job summary

Ennovi in Batam is looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Industrial Business Segment. You will work hands-on with industrial machine vision systems, supporting, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing vision-based stations linked to PLC-controlled automation.

This execution-focused role emphasizes production support, preventive maintenance, vision camera tuning, PLC interfacing, and supporting process improvements across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechatronics or related field.
• 3–6 years of hands-on vision system experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with major vision platforms.
• Experience in medical industry and ISO 13485.

Responsibilities

• Support production equipment during all shifts to ensure continuous operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdowns promptly.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; support robot, vision, PLC, sensors, and automation controls.
• Manage machine parameter setup, backup and restoration.
• Support new product introductions and process optimization.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering and suppliers for issue resolution.
• Monitor equipment performance and drive OEE improvements.
• Assist with spare parts management and reliability initiatives.
• Ensure equipment complies with safety and operational requirements.
• Configure and tune industrial vision cameras for inspection and code reading.
• Optimize lighting, focus, exposure, and inspection thresholds.
• Commission vision stations and support ramp-up.
• Troubleshoot vision, PLC interface, and automation issues.
• Reduce false rejects and improve inspection stability.
• Interface vision systems with PLCs for triggering and pass/fail handling.
• Support operators and maintenance teams with quick issue resolution

Job Summary

We are seeking a [Automation Engineer] to join our team in the Industrial Business Segment.

We are looking for a hands-on Automation Engineer with solid experience in industrial machine vision systems to support, commission, troubleshoot, and optimize existing vision-based assembly and inspection stations integrated with PLC-controlled automation equipment.

This role is execution and production-support focused, not full system design.

About the Business Segment

Ennovi's Industrial segment powers automation, robotics, and energy storage systems enabling OEMs to achieve AI-powered manufacturing for Industry 4.0.

Main Responsibilities

• Supporting production equipment during all shifts to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Troubleshooting and resolving machine breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Supporting robot systems, vision systems, PLCs, sensors, and automation controls.
• Managing machine parameter setup, backup, and restoration.
• Supporting new product introduction (NPI), process optimization, and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinating with Production, Quality, Engineering, and suppliers for issue resolution.
• Monitoring equipment performance and driving OEE improvements.
• Supporting spare parts management and automation system reliability initiatives.
• Ensuring production equipment complies with safety and operational requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Willing to be placed in Batam
• Diploma / Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering
• 3-6 years hands-on experience with industrial vision systems in manufacturing
• Experience with vision platforms such as Hikvision, Cognex, Keyence, Omron, Basler, Sick, etc.
• Minimum 3 years working experience as an Equipment/Maintenance/Manufacturing/Process Engineer.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Relevant experience in medical industry
• Knowledge in ISO 13485 standard.
• Exposure to working in a highly regulated medical environment.
• Multi-tasking for both equipment and process engineering activity.
• Hands-on, shop-floor oriented role, Flexibility for maintenance and production support.
