Job summary

IAS Global Pte. Ltd. seeks an Associate Support Engineer to help deploy and support IAS's NIR technology at end-user labs across Indonesia.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, clear communication, adaptability, and willingness to work on-site at customer locations. You will conduct on-site data collection for NIR modelling, collaborate with Technical and Field Sales Engineers, engage with customers to capture requirements, and prepare progress reports.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and spoken.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support and data collection at customers' laboratories for NIR modelling purposes.
• Collaborate with Technical Engineer and Field Sales Engineer on project plans and modelling accuracy.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and support data collection activities.
• Conduct customer site visits and perform fieldwork as assigned.
• Build and maintain good relationships with customers and end-users.
• Prepare regular work schedules, progress updates and reports for the supervisor, including detailed daily updates during the initial phase.
• Perform other related technical or project support duties as assigned.

Job description

The Associate Support Engineer will play an important role in supporting the adoption and successful implementation of IAS's NIR technology products at end-user laboratory sites. This position requires good analytical thinking, strong communication skills, adaptability, and a willingness to work on-site at customer locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on-site support and conduct data collection at customers' laboratories for NIR modelling purposes
• Work closely with the Technical Engineer and Field Sales Engineer to execute project plans and achieve good modelling accuracy
• Engage with customers and end-users to understand their requirements, support data collection activities, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Conduct customer site visits and perform fieldwork as assigned
• Build and maintain good working relationships with customers and end-users
• Prepare regular work schedules, progress updates, and reports for the reporting manager/supervisor, including detailed daily updates during the initial phase of the role
• Perform other related technical or project support duties as assigned

About you

• Willing and able to be stationed at customer sites across Indonesia during the contract period
• Strong sense of responsibility with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Proficient in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and spoken
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
• Immediate availability is highly preferred
