Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking a researcher to conduct evidence‑based research on power sector reform, industrial decarbonisation, blue carbon, and related energy transition topics. The role involves developing policy briefs, research papers, and knowledge products to inform programme design and engagements.

The incumbent will track national and sub‑national policies, consult experts, and translate work plans into concrete deliverables for timely impact.

ROLE

• Conduct evidence‑based primary and secondary research on power sector reform, industrial decarbonisation, blue carbon and related energy transition issues; develop policy briefs, research papers and knowledge products.
• Track national and sub‑national policies, government programmes, sectoral challenges and emerging innovations; consult experts as needed.
• Provide technical and analytical inputs to the Country Lead for programme design, briefing materials and stakeholder engagements.
• Translate programme work plans into research tasks, field activities and deliverables.
• Support programme implementation through field visits, stakeholder engagement, public‑facing events and coordination with government, civil society, think tanks and other partners at national and sub‑national levels.
• Monitor progress on assigned deliverables, flag implementation challenges and adapt plans while maintaining quality and timeliness.
