Job Description
As a Assistant Product Manager - Endoscopy, your main responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute annual business plans and budgets for the endoscopy portfolio, including pricing strategy, gross profit management, profitability analysis, and promotional planning.
- Drive product growth through strategic portfolio management, market expansion initiatives, and customer-focused commercial activities.
- Identify, develop, and manage business partners and channel distributors to maximise market coverage and customer reach.
- Monitor distributor performance and sales activities, ensuring effective implementation of sales strategies, programmes, and business objectives.
- Provide expert product knowledge and serve as a key resource for customers and the sales organisation on endoscopy technologies, applications, and clinical value propositions.
- Partner closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, support customer engagement, and enhance overall commercial effectiveness.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with business objectives and portfolio strategies.
- Lead product launches, promotional campaigns, workshops, clinical demonstrations, and educational programmes to increase market awareness and adoption.
- Plan and execute strategies to identify, engage, and develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), reference sites, and influential healthcare stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, hospital decision-makers, physicians, and healthcare institutions.
- Conduct regular market research and competitive intelligence activities to identify emerging trends, business opportunities, and potential market risks.
- Analyse sales performance, market share, pricing dynamics, and customer feedback to optimise business strategies.
- Train and develop local sales teams on product knowledge, clinical applications, and competitive positioning.
- Facilitate physician-to-physician education activities and collaborate with clinical experts to strengthen customer engagement and advocacy.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across all business units, including senior leadership, regional teams, and global headquarters to drive alignment and execution.
- Prepare and present regular business reviews, performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to local management, regional leadership, and headquarters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Product Manager - Endoscopy should have:
- Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Endoscopy products, with strong exposure to both commercial and clinical environments.
- Proven track record in launching new medical devices or healthcare products, developing business plans, and conducting market and competitor analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Endoscopy systems, clinical applications, procedures, workflow integration, and product positioning.
- Solid understanding of healthcare market dynamics, hospital procurement processes, and medical device industry trends.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic business initiatives to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong commercial acumen with a comprehensive understanding of business planning, including top-line growth, market share development, profitability management, pricing strategy, and gross profit optimisation.
- Experience managing distributors, channel partners, and key stakeholder relationships within the healthcare ecosystem.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, hospital management, and healthcare decision-makers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable business strategies.
- Excellent project management, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a matrix organisation and collaborating with local management, regional teams, and global headquarters.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience training and supporting sales teams on product, clinical, and commercial knowledge.
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
