Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Assistant Planner.
• Excellent communication, documentation and statistical analysis skills; CAD/MS Office and internet proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develops planning studies and reports in support of plans and regulations.
• Reviews development proposals for conformance with codes and plans.
• Prepares and presents detailed reports to government bodies.
• Collects statistical data and prepares reports on land use and occupancy.
• Assists in evaluating rezoning, site plans and permits.
• Acts as liaison between community groups, agencies, developers and officials.
• Coordinates public review of development projects.
• Provides information to the public regarding regulations.
• Assists in resolving citizen and customer issues.
• Oversees consultants and interns.
• Conducts field evaluations and attends meetings.
