Job description
Overview

Responsible for managing relationships with clients, both suppliers and buyers. Executing trades between packers and buyers. Maintaining regular correspondence with clients in order to be updated with industry happenings. Identifying clients (both buyers and packers) needs to fulfil them and provide value for said clients. Search out and identify prospective clients (both buyers and packers) in order to expand MIDA’s network and business potential. Monitoring and updating of prices of goods assigned by MIDA. Analysis of market reports in order to study market trends, strengths and weaknesses. Visiting and auditing seafood processing plants to assess suitability for working with MIDA. Able to perform tasks assigned at any time as needed.

Qualifications
  • Min Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fishery, or any related field
  • Min 2 years’ experience in relevant field
  • Fluency spoken and written in English
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a big plus
  • Must be able to communicate with the international clientele
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Flexible and willing to think outside the box
  • Willing to travel locally and abroad on short notice and for extended periods
