Job summary

Oriental Sheet Piling, a unit of ArcelorMittal, is seeking an Assistant Manager Production & Maintenance for our Tangerang site. You will supervise daily production and maintenance activities, planning, and coordination with multiple teams to ensure targets, quality, and safety.

The role requires 5+ years in production/manufacturing, strong leadership, and Mandarin proficiency. This on-site position offers opportunities to drive reliability and continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in production or manufacturing operations, preferably in steel/metal processing.
• Must be proficient in Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and written.
• Proven experience in leading or supervising production teams with strong understanding of processes and machinery.
• Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Plan, manage, and supervise daily production activities to meet targets and quality standards.
• Coordinate production planning, manpower allocation, machine utilization, and material availability for efficient operations.
• Lead Production and Maintenance teams to ensure reliable performance and adherence to SOPs and safety requirements.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance to keep machinery in good condition.
• Monitor performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and OHS requirements; prepare regular operational reports.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager Production & Maintenance role based in Tangerang. This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating daily production and maintenance activities to ensure smooth, efficient, and continuous manufacturing operations. The position will oversee production planning, production performance, manpower allocation, machine utilization, equipment maintenance, and operational improvement. The role will work closely with the Production and Maintenance teams, Warehouse, Quality Control, and other relevant departments to ensure production targets are achieved, product quality is maintained, machinery and equipment operate reliably, and all operational activities comply with company procedures and occupational health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and supervise daily production activities to ensure production targets and product quality standards are achieved.
• Coordinate production planning, manpower allocation, machine utilization, and raw material availability to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
• Lead and supervise the Production and Maintenance teams to ensure effective operational performance and compliance with company procedures.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure machinery and equipment operate properly and reliably.
• Monitor production performance and machine conditions, identify operational issues, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all production and maintenance activities comply with quality standards, company SOPs, and occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements, and prepare regular operational reports

General Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in production or manufacturing operations, preferably in the steel, metal processing, or cold-forming industry.
• Must be proficient in Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and written.
• Proven experience in leading or supervising production teams, with a good understanding of manufacturing processes and machine operations.
• Good knowledge of machinery maintenance, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a good understanding of quality standards and occupational health and safety requirements.
