Job summary

PT Royal Adibusana is seeking an Assistant Designer to join its creative team in Central Jakarta. The role supports senior designers in developing fashion and textile collections, from concept to execution, in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will assist with mood boards, sketches, tech drawings, and material sourcing, while collaborating across production and marketing to deliver market-ready designs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in fashion/ textile design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Basic garment construction knowledge and textile production understanding.
• Strong sketching, drawing and proportion skills.
• Knowledge of colour theory, pattern, and textile design principles.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Experience with CAD or technical design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing fashion and textile design concepts, mood boards, sketches, and colour palettes.
• Support creation of technical drawings and specifications for garments/textiles.
• Research current trends, competitors, and consumer preferences to inform designs.
• Collaborate with pattern makers and production to ensure feasibility and quality.
• Participate in design presentations and provide feedback on iterations.
• Help source fabrics, trims, and materials for collections.
• Organize and prepare design materials for sales and marketing teams.
