Job description

Assist Head Designer or Fashion Designer in the process of developing clothing collection designs. Support the design development process from initial ideas, concept creation, material selection, to production-ready products.

Key responsibilities

Create fashion design sketches, both manually and digitally, according to brand concept and character

Conduct fashion trend research, colors, motifs, materials, and clothing models in development

Create and develop detailed clothing designs, including cutting, visual patterns, sequin applications, embroidery, lace, and other ornaments

Prepare design references, moodboards, color palettes, and concept details for collection needs

Assist in creating technical drawings or technical clothing images as a guide for the production team

Coordinate with production, cutting, sewing, finishing, and QC teams to ensure products match the design

Check clothing samples and provide feedback regarding design details and production result accuracy

Ensure each design meets quality standards, brand identity, and boutique target market

Manage design documentation, references, and collection archives in a structured manner

Assist in design revision process based on supervisor direction and product development needs

About you

Basic to intermediate ability in fashion sketching or fashion illustration

Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, or similar software

Ability to create moodboards, design concepts, and develop creative ideas

Understanding of fabric types, material characteristics, texture, color, and material application on clothing

Understanding of basic clothing construction, cutting, patterns, and garment production processes

High creativity and ability to develop attractive designs with sales value

Ability to research fashion trends and understand modest fashion industry developments

High attention to detail in observing design details, sizes, colors, and composition

Able to work in an organized manner and complete work according to deadlines

Good communication and coordination skills with design and production teams

About you (continued)

Minimum education: SMK Tata Busana, D3/S1 Fashion Design, Fashion Design, or related field

Minimum 1 year experience as Assistant Designer, Fashion Designer, or similar position (valued)

Strong interest in the fashion world, particularly modest wear, dresses, abayas, and women's clothing

Must have good creativity and fashion sense

Able to work individually and in teams

High initiative, discipline, responsibility, and willingness to continue learning

Able to accept direction, feedback, and revise designs well

Willing to work with targets and deadlines set by the company

Have a fashion design portfolio for consideration in the selection process

Willing to work professionally and follow company regulations and SOPs
