Job summary

Shopee is seeking an experienced PMO/Technical Program Manager to lead a portfolio of AI initiatives across CX, Marketing, Operations and Risk in Jakarta. You will drive disciplined PMO practices, align multiple stakeholders, and ensure on-time, scoped delivery with clear ownership and milestones.

The role requires strong data-driven decision making, ability to review technical designs with engineering teams, and a track record of delivering complex programs with executive visibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in PMO, technical program management, or delivery leadership.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects with tight timelines and cross-functional dependencies.
• Strong foundations in planning, risk management, and governance.
• High technical fluency to review architectures and API specs with engineering teams.
• Hands-on deck-building and executive communication experience.

• Establish and enforce disciplined PM practices, including project plans, RAID logs, dependency maps, status cadences, sprint reviews, and launch checklists.
• Monitor timelines and progress ruthlessly to identify slippage early, escalat blockers promptly, and re-baseline project scope using data-driven insights.
• Build leadership-ready steering decks, status reports, and executive updates that distill complex program details into concise, actionable takeaways for Director+ audiences.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery by aligning Data Science, Engineering, Product, Security, and business owners toward unified milestone dates.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs using technical fluency to challenge estimates, flag feasibility risks, and validate scope with engineering teams.
• Drive end-to-end adoption after launch by designing pilots, rollout plans, and usage tracking frameworks to ensure successful user adoption within the target business units.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years up to 8 years of experience in PMO, technical program management, consulting, or delivery leadership, preferably within data, AI, or platform environments.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex, high-priority projects concurrently with tight timelines and cross-functional dependencies.
• Strong foundational expertise in project management disciplines including planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and stakeholder governance.
• High technical fluency with the ability to review architectural diagrams, understand API specifications, and debate technical scope and estimates with engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with deck-building and executive communications, capable of synthesizing complex status into clear, high-impact stories.
• Prior background in consulting (top-tier or boutique), technical engineering/analytics, or exposure to LLM/AI projects (RAG, agents, chatbots) and e-commerce/marketplace environments is highly preferred.
• Strong bias for action with a proactive approach to chasing task owners, closing operational loops, and driving execution independently.
• Exceptional structured thinking and executive presence with the ability to context-switch rapidly across strategic and tactical domains.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills across technical and non-technical business leaders.
