Job summary

Hertz Flavors Makmur Indonesia is seeking an analytical chemistry specialist to advance our analytical capabilities in support of product quality, innovation, and R&D excellence.

You will develop, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods, integrate new technologies, and collaborate across R&D, QC, and QA to deliver reliable results. Strong data interpretation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related scientific field.
• 3–5 years of experience in analytical laboratories with hands-on exposure to method development and validation.
• Proven ability to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot analytical methods to achieve reliable and reproducible results.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify root causes.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and consistency in executing laboratory work and documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical findings.
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to continuously learn and adopt new analytical technologies.
• High curiosity and strong interest in research, particularly in Organic Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate analytical methods.
• Generate reliable scientific insights that support product development and decision-making.
• Leverage advanced analytical technologies such as GC-FID, HPLC, GC-MS, Tensiometer, and Viscometer.
• Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing new technologies and techniques.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, QC, QA, and engineering to align on goals.
• Interpret and communicate data effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build and share scientific expertise through training and mentoring.
