Job summary

Shoopee's AI Solutions team seeks a backend-focused engineer to design and build the Smart platform and related AI systems, including runtimes, toolchains, memory, orchestration, and logging. You will collaborate across tech and non-tech teams to deliver real-world AI use cases within a fast-paced infra environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in software development, strong Python skills, and an interest in LangChain/LangGraph, RAG, and vector stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in software development; fresh grads with strong fundamentals welcome.
• Proficient in Python; Golang a plus.
• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, networking, and systems.
• Backend experience designing cloud-ready services with databases, queues, caching.
• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph.
• Willingness to work full stack and navigate ambiguity with curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Smart platform and AI systems including runtimes and toolchains.
• Collaborate across tech and non-tech teams to land real-world AI use cases.
• Improve internal agent adoption by replacing traditional operations with intelligent workflows.
• Enhance platform reliability, observability, and production readiness.
• Support operations and development to ship features and run services.
• Manage infrastructure including vector stores, RAG, and middleware components.
• Experiment with latest AI/agent advancements and bring them to production.
• Optimize performance via tuning, profiling, and root-cause analysis.
• Plan stress/load tests to identify bottlenecks and improve throughput.
• Drive capacity planning and scale services under varying workloads.
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerts, and incident response practices.
