Job summary

Meratus Group is seeking an AI Engineer in Surabaya for the Research & Innovation division. You will explore cutting-edge AI technologies, assess trends, and implement PoCs to boost maritime logistics efficiency and digital transformation.

You will design and launch AI systems, collaborate across teams, and document findings to enable knowledge transfer and scalable solutions across the organization. This project-based role emphasizes hands-on experimentation and impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience developing machine learning models, NLP, computer vision, or generative AI applications.
Strong programming skills in Python with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or OpenAI APIs.
Proven background in designing and launching technical PoCs from scratch.
Excellent analytical and research-driven mindset with a passion for documentation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

R&D & Trend Analysis: Research emerging technologies, industry developments, and vendor benchmarks.
PoC Development: Design, build, and run rapid PoCs and pilots to validate AI solutions.
System Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in enterprise systems and unlock tech improvement opportunities.
Strategic Innovation Support: Contribute to hackathons, digital transformation initiatives, and AI roadmaps.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain tech repositories and publish guidelines and research papers.
