Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead daily operations, oversee financial reporting, and ensure tax compliance in Indonesia. The role requires Mandarin proficiency and supervision of staff across accounting functions.

You will work closely with Chinese/Taiwanese principals and HQ to deliver accurate statements and insightful analyses, while ensuring internal controls and efficient processes within a trading/beverage context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per PSAK/SAK.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management and Mandarin-speaking principals/HQ.
• Monitor cash flow, inventory valuation, and COGS for beverage trading operations.
• Ensure accurate tax calculation, payment, and reporting (PPh 21/23/25/29, PPN).
• Coordinate with tax consultants and liaise with authorities for audits.
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff; improve internal controls and SOPs.
• Support audit processes with schedules and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and speed reporting.
• Communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders on reporting and budgeting.
• Translate and summarize financial documents between Mandarin and English/Indonesian.

Key Responsibility

Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting

• Supervise daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK/SAK).
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and closing processes performed by accounting staff.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to management and Mandarin-speaking principals/HQ.
• Monitor cash flow, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold relevant to beverage trading operations.

Tax & Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely calculation, payment, and reporting of tax obligations (PPh 21/23/25/29, PPN, and other applicable taxes).
• Coordinate with tax consultants and liaise with tax authorities as needed for audits or clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with statutory accounting, tax regulations, and internal company policies.

Team Supervision & Process Improvement

• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in daily tasks.
• Develop and improve internal control procedures and accounting SOPs.
• Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documents.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting turnaround time.

Stakeholder Communication

• Communicate directly in Mandarin with principals, suppliers, or regional/HQ finance teams regarding reporting, budgeting, and business matters.
• Translate and summarize financial reports/documents between Mandarin and English/Indonesian as required.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams on financial and inventory matters.

Qualification

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (Brevet A/B, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Prior experience in a trading, distribution, or FMCG/beverage company is strongly preferred.
• Experience directly reporting to or communicating with Chinese/Taiwanese principals, shareholders, or HQ is a strong advantage.

Language & Communication

• Mandarin proficiency at a professional working level (spoken and written) is mandatory — used for daily communication with principals/HQ; HSK 4 or above, or equivalent working experience, is preferred.
• Good command of English and/or Indonesian for internal reporting and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with both local staff and overseas stakeholders.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of Indonesian tax regulations (PPh, PPN) and PSAK/SAK financial reporting standards.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., Accurate, SAP, Oracle, MYOB, or similar); experience with distribution/trading modules is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTable, basic financial modeling).
• Familiar with inventory and cost accounting relevant to trading/distribution businesses.
