Job summary

Sf Indonesia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee daily financial accounting, GL entries, AP/AR settlements, and reporting for freight forwarding operations in Indonesia.

The role requires 3–5 years of logistics accounting, strong Excel and ERP skills (CargoWise, SAP), and fluency in English; Indonesian tax knowledge is a plus. Position is based in South Jakarta with potential placement in Kuningan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years accounting experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of COGS and job-file profitability in freight forwarding.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software such as CargoWise or SAP.
• Familiarity with Indonesian tax regulations related to logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting, general ledger entries, AP/AR settlements, and financial reporting for freight forwarding operations.
• Prepare and record journal entries, GL postings, and month-end closings.
• Manage AP processes, verifying vendor invoices from shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, and local partners.
• Oversee AR and billing activities, ensure timely invoicing and ageings, resolve disputes or rate discrepancies.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, vendor statement settlements, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor shipment file-level profitability, cost accruals, and revenue leakage across air, sea, and land transport.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and tax compliance per Indonesian standards.
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, and procurement to verify freight charges and related disbursements.

Job description

• Oversee and execute daily financial accounting, general ledger entries, AP/AR settlements, and financial reporting specifically tailored for ocean, air, and domestic freight forwarding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record accurate journal entries, general ledger postings, and month-end financial closing statements for freight forwarding operations.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) processes, verifying vendor invoices from shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, and local logistics partners against cost sheets.
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and billing activities, ensuring timely invoicing, tracking aging reports, and resolving client billing disputes or rate discrepancies.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, vendor statement settlements, and internal intercompany balance reconciliations.
• Monitor shipment file-level profitability, operational cost accruals, and revenue leakage across air, sea, and land transportation services.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and tax compliance documentation in accordance with Indonesian accounting standards.
• Collaborate with operational, customer service, and procurement teams to verify freight charges, storage fees, and customs-related disbursements.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven accounting experience within the freight forwarding, supply chain, or logistics industry.
• Solid understanding of operational logistics accounting, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) structures, and job-file profitability in freight forwarding.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial formulas) and experience using accounting software or freight systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, or local ERPs).
• Familiarity with Indonesian tax regulations (PPN, PPh 23/15) related to logistics services is an advantage.
• High level of accuracy, detail orientation, analytical skills, and ability to work under tight closing deadlines.
• Active English speaker; fluency in Mandarin is preferred.
• Willing to be placed in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
