Job summary

PT Sea Group seeks an Assistant Manager / Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis to join the HQ Finance team in Indonesia. You will lead group reporting under US GAAP and support statutory audits, ensuring accuracy of financial statements for Garena, Shopee, and Monee across markets.

You will collaborate with auditors, legal counsels and regional finance teams, develop accounting policies, strengthen SOX controls, and drive improvements in processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in consolidation or external audit is desired.
• Degree in Accountancy or recognizable accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, etc.)
• Familiar with US GAAP or part of the accounting firm’s technical department
• Strong accounting and reporting knowledge
• Passionate about the finance space and challenging the status quo
• Thrives in dynamic environments and delivers high-quality results
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
• Strong logical and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual group reports and financial statements to comply with US GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, legal counsels, group M&A, and regional finance teams.
• Provide accounting support to the group and regional finance teams.
• Support development of group accounting policies and implement process/system changes.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda and documentation.
• Lead establishment and improvement of SOX controls and business processes.
• Handle ad-hoc projects including group restructuring and M&A activities.
• Focus on improving business and finance processes.

Assistant Manager / Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis

You will be part of Sea’s HQ Finance department, which plays an integral role in supporting the accounting and finance needs of our three core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee) and across our diverse regional market presence. Within the department, the Financial Reporting function is responsible for group financial reporting, covering consolidation, technical accounting, and statutory audits. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and provide accounting guidance for the digital payments and financial services business.

• Lead quarterly and annual group reports and financial statements comply with US GAAP and US SEC requirements
• Liaise and collaborate closely with the auditors, legal counsels, group M&A, business and regional finance team
• Provide accounting support to the group and regional finance team
• Support ongoing development of the group accounting policies, including the implementation of process and system changes
• Prepare and review technical accounting memorandum and documentation
• Lead in establishing, implementing and improving SOX controls and business processes
• Undertake ad-hoc special projects, including but not limited to internal group restructuring, M&A, adoption of new accounting standards
• Continued focus in improving business and finance processes
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience preparing consolidation or in Big 4 external audit are desired
• Degree in Accountancy or recognizable accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA and etc.)
