Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited is recruiting for a client—a premier global shipping and maritime conglomerate in Hong Kong—to appoint a client-side Workday SME. You will act as the technical bridge between business stakeholders and the external Systems Integrator on a global Workday Core HCM deployment.

You will evaluate configuration workbooks, design documents, and proposed solutions, ensuring thorough validation and accountability for complex configurations and data migrations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6 years of hands-on Workday configuration in Core HCM.
• Active or recent Workday Certification in Core HCM, Security, or Business Processes is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English for challenging external SI consultants.

Responsibilities

• Serve as client-side SME and technical checker for global Workday Core HCM deployment.
• Evaluate configuration workbooks, functional specs, and solution design documents from the external SI.
• Review proposals and ensure the SI is accountable for configurations and complexities.
• Oversee tenant configuration across Workday Core HCM, RBAC, and Business Processes.
• Validate data migration scripts, EIBs, and integrations between Workday and other systems.
• Lead functional QA by reviewing SIT and UAT test scripts.

• Serve as the client-side Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical check-and-balance for a global Workday Core HCM deployment.
• Evaluate and validate configuration workbooks, functional specifications, and solution design documents delivered by the external SI.
• Critically review and challenge technical proposals, ensuring the SI is held accountable whenever configuration limitations or complexity issues are raised.
• Oversee hands-on tenant configuration across Workday Core HCM, Role-based Security, and Business Processes.
• Validate data migration scripts, EIBs, and integration frameworks between Workday and existing enterprise software.
• Lead functional quality assurance by reviewing, verifying, and driving SIT and UAT test scripts.

• Minimum 3-6 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, including participation in at least 1 full-cycle implementation.
• Active or recent Workday Certification in Core HCM, Security, or Business Processes is highly preferred.
• Deep technical proficiency in hands-on tenant configuration, Role-based Security, EIBs, and Business Process frameworks.
• Excellent, assertive, and articulate communication skills in English to effectively challenge, influence, and align with external SI consultants.
• Immediate availability or a maximum notice period of 1 week is mandatory.
