Job summary

WeLab Bank is seeking a System Analyst for the Wealth Management platform, focusing on feature-rich, cloud-based applications. You will work with a fast-growing FinTech team to deliver wealth management services on digital channels using Kubernetes, RESTful APIs and data streaming.

Ideal candidates have a degree in CS/IT, 3+ years in software development, and knowledge of investment products. Fluency in English and Cantonese is required; comfortable in a fast-paced environment with tight

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/IT or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development and documentation.
• Knowledge of investment products (mutual funds, FX, money market).
• Familiarity with Java, JMS, RESTful API and SQL.
• Container orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, AWS EKS.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate and modify new/existing applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and design.
• Prepare specifications, change requests and documentation.
• Perform testing and debugging; conduct code walkthroughs.
• Prepare test plans and scripts for system integration testing.
• Provide 2nd level production support.
• Collaborate with DevOps/SRE on deployment and monitoring.
• Support user training and adoption.
• Ensure service levels and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in capacity planning and stress testing.

About This Role

As a System Analyst of Wealth Management business, you will be working in an energetic team to deliver feature-rich and technology-driven software applications and systems in a fast-growing FinTech business. You will work on a wealth management platform run on cloud using latest technologies such as Kubernetes, RESTful API, data streaming etc.. to deliver wealth management services on digital channels.

What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role

• Analyze, evaluate and modify new/existing applications
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and design
• Prepare specification, change requests and documentation
• Perform testing, debugging and conduct effective code walkthrough
• Prepare and execute test plan and scripts for system integration test
• Prepare technical implementation plan
• Provide 2nd level support to production systems
• Perform user support and training
• Ensure the service levels as well as auditory and regulatory compliance are met
• Work with DevOps and SRE engineering teams to refine deployment and release processes, and to establish the right monitoring and alerting strategy for applications
• Participate in stress test systems to collect metrics for tuning and capacity planning

What Is Required And What We’re Looking For

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines
• At least 3 years of experience in software development and documentation
• Business knowledge of investment products in particular mutual funds, FX, and money market products
• Familiarity with Java, JMS, RESTful API and SQL
• Container management and container orchestration experience – Docker, Kubernetes, Racher, AWS EKS
• Good logical and analytical reasoning capabilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Cantonese
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure
• Team player, multi-tasking skills, can-do attitude and able to work with tight timeline
