Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong proficiency in React.js and its core principles (e.g., Hooks, Context API, component-based architecture).
• Solid experience in backend development using Node.js and frameworks like Express.js.
• Demonstrable knowledge of SQL Server or other relational databases, including writing complex queries and understanding database design.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using React and its ecosystem.
• Back-End Development: Build and manage server-side logic, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Node.js (e.g., Express.js) to support front-end applications.
• Database & Data Management: Integrate applications with various data sources. Design, optimize, and execute complex queries, stored procedures, and views, primarily using SQL Server.
• Data Collection: Assist in developing and implementing data collection pipelines and services that feed into our core applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with researchers, data scientists, and other team members to translate project requirements into robust and efficient technical solutions.
• Prototyping & Testing: Prototype, test, and deploy applications, iterating based on user feedback and performance metrics to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions.
• Documentation: Document engineering processes, API specifications, and database schemas for internal knowledge sharing.
