As the Wealth Planner, you will be a strategic wealth planning advisor serving high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) families globally, with a specialty in serving Canada-Asia connected clients and families. In this role, you'll provide comprehensive wealth planning guidance, build deep client relationships, and collaborate with RBC specialists worldwide to deliver exceptional value-added services.
What will you do?
- Explore and identify wealth planning needs for HNW and UHNW families, guiding them through asset transfer, trust planning, estate planning, immigration, and family governance matters.
- Provide holistic wealth planning insights in areas including insurance planning, philanthropy, and next generation engagement.
- Grow and sustain RBC relationships by deepening client penetration across different locations and generations.
- Liaise with legal, tax, and fiduciary professionals to implement effective wealth planning strategies.
- Facilitate connections between clients and external experts (tax advisors, lawyers, accountants, trustees) to deliver tailored solutions.
- Initiate and host wealth planning events for knowledge-sharing and business development.
- Partner with RBC relationship managers globally to demonstrate our \"One RBC\" approach and drive collaboration.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- University degree in Law, Tax, Accounting, or other relevant professional qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in client-facing roles within private banking
- Strong knowledge of wealth planning concepts for Asian clients and Canada-Asia-connected families
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese with spoken Mandarin abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of cross-jurisdictional wealth planning, asset structuring, and regulatory requirements
Nice-to-have
- STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification
- Demonstrated track record of business development and client relationship growth
- Experience in wealth transfer solutions including wills, trusts, and insurance
