Job summary

The Edge Partnership in Hong Kong is seeking a highly motivated Vice President to join the Synthetics Equities Middle Office team supporting a global equities business. Based in Hong Kong, you will act as a critical control and execution partner to the Front Office, overseeing equity swaps, delta-one products, and related activities.

You will lead the HK team, ensure timely trade booking and confirmation, manage corporate actions and lifecycle events, and maintain strong client and counterparty

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least 12 years in middle office/operations or trade support in a large international bank.
• Strong experience in equities and equity derivatives including synthetics and swaps.
• Proven leadership and people-management experience.
• Excellent presentation and communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Hong Kong team and act as Middle Office contact for Equity Derivatives and Synthetic Equity trading desks.
• Ensure timely and accurate trade booking, confirmation, allocation, settlement and lifecycle processing.
• Manage corporate actions, resets, rebalances, financing events, dividends, and maturity events.
• Support front office and external clients; monitor activity and maintain controls.
• Drive automation and process optimization initiatives.

Our client is a top tier reputed global bank and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to join the Synthetics Equities Middle Office team supporting a global Synthetics Equities business, based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will act as a critical control and execution partner to the Front Office, providing oversight and support across equity swaps, portfolio swaps, synthetic financing transactions, delta-one products, and related equity derivative activities.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Lead the HK team and act as the primary Middle Office contact for Equity Derivatives and Synthetic Equity trading desks.
• Ensure timely and accurate trade booking, confirmation, allocation, settlement, and lifecycle processing.
• Manage corporate actions, resets, rebalances, financing events, dividends, and maturity events.
• Serve as a key point of contact for institutional clients, prime brokerage clients, hedge funds, asset managers, and internal stakeholders
• Monitor trading activity and ensure adherence to internal control frameworks
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and market standards
• Drive strategic initiatives focused on automation, process optimization, and operational scalability

To be eligible for this position, you will require:

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree and atleast 12+ years of working experience in a Middle office/Operations/trade support role with a large international bank
• Strong experience within equities and equity derivatives including synthetics, swaps, PB, Delta 1
• Excellent front office as well as external client and counterparty management skills
• Prior experience in leading and managing a team
• To be change oriented and have actively contributed to technology led initiatives and transformations
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in English necessary, with ability to work in a growing and fast paced environment.
