Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a role with a leading European bank in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will provide end-to-end Middle Office support for Global Markets, focusing on Structured Products, Equity Derivatives, and related products.

You will validate trades, manage the full trade life-cycle, handle corporate actions and events, and drive process improvements with Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams. Fluency in English and Cantonese is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Min 5 years in Middle Office, Trade Support, or related roles in Global Markets.
• Strong knowledge of structured products and equity derivatives.
• Solid understanding of the trade life-cycle and corporate actions.
• Fluent in English; Cantonese enables stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end Middle Office support for Global Markets trading activities, focusing on structured products and equity derivatives.
• Perform trade validation, booking control, and first-level trade checks.
• Manage full trade life-cycle including amendments, cancellations, and life-cycle events.
• Monitor product events, corporate actions, dividends, cash flows, and TRS-related activities.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks in partnership with Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Tech.
• Support process improvements, system enhancements, and UAT/automation projects.

Job Description

• Provide end-to-end Middle Office support for Global Markets trading activities, with a focus on Structured Products, Equity Derivatives, Equity Finance, Swaps, Options, Stocks, and Indices.
• Perform trade validation, booking control, and first-level trade checks to ensure transaction accuracy and integrity.
• Manage the full trade life-cycle, including trade amendments, cancellations, unwinds, early terminations, and other product life-cycle events.
• Monitor and process product events, corporate actions, dividends, cash flows, coupons, maturities, and Total Return Swap (TRS) related activities.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, reconciliation discrepancies, and operational issues in partnership with Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams.
• Support business growth and operational excellence through process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, UAT testing, and automation projects.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Middle Office, Trade Support, Product Control, Operations, or Trade Life-cycle Management within a Global Markets environment.
• Strong knowledge of Structured Products, Equity Derivatives, Equity Finance, Swaps, Options, Stocks, Indices, TRS, or Delta One products.
• Solid understanding of the trade life-cycle, including trade booking, life-cycle events, corporate actions, reconciliations, and exception management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.
