CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited is seeking a seasoned professional to manage the Treasury Settlement Section of OPC. The role involves planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling the full range of transaction processing activities.

The incumbent will supervise settlement operations, ensure regulatory compliance (HKMA/SFC/local), participate in automation projects, and lead process improvements. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 10 years banking experience with at least 5 years in settlement at supervisory level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Independent and able to work under pressure.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct the full range of treasury settlement activities.
• Monitor compliance with HKMA/SFC/local regulations.

About the role

This position manages Treasury Settlement Section of OPC by planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling the full range of transaction processing activities.

Responsibilities

• To perform control on daily process and monitoring on all treasury products settlement
• To participate on project running in an automation solution and supporting model
• To monitor and ensure the team performs daily process to be compliant with HKMA/SFC/Local regulatory requirement. E.g. HKMA TR reporting requirement
• Handling HKMA, SFC, Internal/External Audit checking and enquiry
• Communicate with internal and external client. E.g. FI Counterparty, branch, internal department and correspondent bank
• To establish new Operations workflow in supporting new products/activities be launched
• Strengthen staff awareness on internal control procedures in order to reduce Ops loss
• Review & improve the efficiency of trade processing via “Process Improvement” and System enhancements
• Participate in the recruitment process by conducting interviews and selecting suitable candidates for the team
• Take charge on the performance evaluation with sub-ordinates
• Perform people management in Treasury Settlement Section
• Arrange Treasury Section staff rotation and training
• Resolve ad-hoc irregular cases
• Perform duty assigned by department head

Requirements

• Degree holder preferable in Business, Finance, Accounting or other relevant disciplines
• 10 years relevant banking experience of which at least 5 years in settlement at supervisory level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Practical knowledge of treasury settlement
• Independent and able to work under pressure
• Good in both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficient in MS office application
