Job summary

ROMA seeks Manager/Assistant Manager in Business Valuation to lead engagements for financial reporting, M&A, and regulatory purposes in Hong Kong. You'll develop valuation models, conduct market research, review forecasts, and prepare formal reports.

You will supervise junior staff, liaise with clients and auditors, and support project planning and quality-control. Fluency in English, Cantonese or Mandarin preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 3–7 years’ relevant experience for Assistant Manager level, or 5–10 years for Manager level.
• Solid knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial statement analysis, corporate finance, and financial modelling.
• Experience in financial reporting valuation, purchase price allocation, impairment testing, fair-value measurement, or financial-instrument valuation is an advantage.
• Familiarity with IFRS/HKFRS and IFRS 13 is preferred.
• CFA designation or progress toward the CFA Program is preferred but not required.
• Professional qualifications or progress toward CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, ASA, CBV, FRM, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills; experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, FactSet, or similar databases is preferred.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, communication, and project-management skills.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage business valuation engagements for financial reporting, transaction, tax, regulatory, and other corporate-advisory purposes.
• Prepare and review valuation models using discounted cash flow, comparable company, precedent transaction, asset-based, and other appropriate methodologies.
• Conduct financial, industry, market, and comparable-company research.
• Review historical financial performance, management forecasts, business plans, and key valuation assumptions.
• Prepare valuation reports, presentation materials, working papers, and audit-support documentation.
• Liaise with clients, auditors, and other professional advisers to obtain information and address valuation queries.
• Supervise and review work prepared by junior team members.
• Support engagement planning, project management, business-development activities, and internal quality-control procedures.
