Job summary

AVISTA Valuation Advisory Limited is seeking analytical Analysts to join our Hong Kong Business Valuation team. You will perform valuations for financial reporting and transaction purposes and build robust financial models. You will work closely with Directors and senior staff to deliver well-documented outputs.

The role provides structured training, career progression from Analyst to Senior Analyst, exposure to diverse industries, and a supportive environment for professional growth.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Analytics or related disciplines.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in valuation, audit, M&A, transaction advisory, banking or data/financial analysis roles.
• Exposure to financial modelling, valuation concepts or audit-related assignments.
• Progress toward or intention to pursue CFA / HKICPA / ACCA.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience in international valuation, accounting or professional services firms is a plus.
• Strong interest in business valuation, corporate finance or transaction advisory.
• Strong numerical ability with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.
• Fluent in Cantonese is a must.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and willing to learn in a fast-paced professional environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake short business trips to mainland China as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform business valuations for financial reporting purposes (e.g. purchase price allocation, impairment testing, fair value measurement) under HKFRS, IFRS and US GAAP
• Assist in valuations for transaction purposes, including acquisitions, disposals and corporate restructuring
• Build and review financial models, including DCF, sensitivity analysis and comparable analysis
• Conduct industry, market and company research, including data collection and analysis
• Assist in preparing valuation reports, proposals and client presentation materials
• Support M&A advisory, financial modelling and other corporate finance related projects
• Work on valuations of businesses, equity interests, intangible assets and financial instruments
• Collaborate closely with team members to deliver high-quality, well-documented valuation outputs
