Our client, a leading hedge fund with a Hong Kong desk, seeks an experienced US Equity Trader to cover US market hours during the day session.

You will execute US equity, options, and derivatives, manage intraday risk, and work directly with the CIO and head of trading on a fast-moving book.

This is a high-impact role requiring 5+ years of trading in US or Asian equities, with strong risk instincts and deep market microstructure knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of trading US or Asian equities with options and derivatives.
• Proven track record across market cycles in hedge funds, prop firms, or banks.
• Strong understanding of US market microstructure and execution algorithms.
• Excellent risk management and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Execute US equity, options, and derivatives orders across the trading day.
• Collaborate with Head of Trading and CIO to translate decisions into executions.
• Manage intraday risk, liquidity, and exposure.
• Structure overlays including hedging and volatility strategies.
• Maintain relationships with sell-side desks, prime brokers, and venues.
• Monitor market catalysts and microstructure to adjust strategy.
