Job summary

Pathos Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced UAT tester to perform comprehensive testing across financial systems. You will prepare detailed test plans, generate test data, and execute test cases while documenting results and tracking issues to resolution.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in software testing or quality assurance within a financial institution or banking environment.
• Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Strong ability to review, interpret, and bridge business and technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to coordinate across technical and business teams.
• Prior experience with or sourcing test automation tools is a plus.

Job description

Perform comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) following standardized, rigorous workflows.

Prepare detailed test plans based on business/technical requirements and generate accurate test data for respective testing cycles.

Execute test cases, thoroughly document test results, log problems, and diligently follow up on issues until complete resolution.

Deliver comprehensive test reports, provide release recommendations, and support post-implementation system maintenance.

Review existing testing workflows, suggest practical improvements, and source/evaluate potential test automation tools.

Prepare clear training materials and conduct user training sessions ahead of system rollouts.

Requirements & Qualifications

2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing or equivalent quality assurance roles within a financial institution (FSI) or banking environment.

Degree holder in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Strong ability to review, interpret, and bridge both business and technical documentation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across technical and business teams.

Prior experience working with or sourcing test automation tools is a distinct advantage.

Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
