Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong seeks an Associate in Treasury to support regulatory and internal deliverables within the Finance division. You will partner across the Firm on capital resources, planning and governance, with a focus on Asia-regional capital management.

The role requires 2+ years in financial services or treasury, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while upholding risk controls and firm values.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and related controls.
• Ability to operate independently with responsibility for own deliverables.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional Asian languages are a plus.
• Self-motivation and ability to work with a global, diverse team.
• At least 2 years' relevant experience in financial services or treasury roles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance teams and across the Firm on regulatory and internal deliverables.
• Lead aspects of individual and team projects using Finance knowledge and capital planning expertise.
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls to minimize risk.
• Act as a culture carrier, upholding firm values and standards.
• Support capital management for entities in Asia to meet regulatory and internal requirements.
• Analyze capital implications of business plans and advise on optimal capital mix and metrics.
• Assist in CAAP production and regulatory submissions for the region.
• Keep abreast of new regulatory capital rules and assess impact on entities.
• Coordinate with Corporate Treasury and other groups to drive automation and process improvements.
• Prepare and review capital-related materials for senior management and governance forums.
