Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong seeks an Associate in Treasury to support the management of Asia-Pacific legal entities within Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning. Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Finance functional area, industry and competitive environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to various audiences
• Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers
• Understanding of regulatory requirements in regards to Treasury activities
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
• Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or products
• Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
• Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
• Prepare and review Treasury materials for key governance and regulatory forums
• Manage intercompany loan agreements and adherence to local regulatory requirements
• Analyze legal entity balance sheets to evaluate the need for changes in the funding profile
• Monitor and analyze intercompany balances and transactions
• Govern new funding requests and special funding arrangements
• Execute processes for reviewing limits covering lending between affiliates
• Lead/execute strategic Treasury projects such as dividends, infusions, restructuring, forecasting and optimization activities
• Produce ad hoc materials in response management and regulatory requests
• Prepare/update policies, procedures and regular reporting
• Build a close working relationship with other groups within Corporate Treasury, as well as with Sales and Trading, Structuring, Risk, Controllers, Legal, Tax, and Operations
