Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is seeking an experienced Trading Systems Software Engineer to help build the applications, platforms and engineering capabilities that support QRT’s global trading environment.

This broad role spans application development, distributed systems, cloud technology, deployment automation and production engineering. You will design software used by traders, researchers, operations and other engineers across the firm.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience developing and supporting production-grade software.
• Strong programming and software engineering in Python, Java, Go, Node.js or C++.
• Experience designing maintainable, testable and scalable applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production-grade applications, services and APIs.
• Build shared platforms and reusable capabilities across desks and teams.
• Develop web applications and operational tools for visibility and control.
• Design scalable distributed and event-driven systems integrated with trading platforms.
• Build deployment tooling, release automation and self-service capabilities.
• Develop automated workflows for data processing and tasks using Airflow.
• Partner with traders and researchers to solve practical business problems.
• Design software for latency-sensitive environments balancing performance and reliability.
• Build observable, resilient systems with monitoring and recovery features.
• Collaborate with cloud, DevOps and infrastructure teams for production support.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and evaluate new technologies.
