Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies is looking for a trader/sales professional to execute APAC trades efficiently and monitor execution systems. The role requires handling electronic and manual executions and balancing risk while communicating with technologists, researchers and traders globally.

The candidate should have 2–5 years in sell-side trading or sales, strong programming ability in at least one major language, and a proactive, autonomous work style in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as trader or sales in sellside.
• Experience in electronic and manual executions in APAC equity markets.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Coding skills in at least one language: Python, R, Matlab and/or C++, C#.
• Capable of autonomous work within a collegial and collaborative environment.
• Strong ability to communicate with technologists, data scientists and traders globally.

Responsibilities

• Your core objective is to execute trades in APAC markets timely and cost-efficiently.
• Maintain systems to track order execution, trade booking, pnl and slippage calculations.
• Monitor market movement and take appropriate risk when opportunities arise.
• Help researchers explore new markets by talking to market participants and understanding market dynamics.
