Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management is seeking a Trading Platform Engineer for its Systematic Technology group in Hong Kong. The role focuses on production engineering and trading support for real-time, high-velocity markets.

You will ensure platform stability, monitoring, and rapid issue response in collaboration with trading, researchers, and developers. You will own monitoring, runbooks, and automation to improve resilience, while participating in controlled production rollouts and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in production engineering, SRE, or application support in real-time or trading environments.
• Experience supporting business-critical production systems with urgency and ownership.
• Strong monitoring, observability, alerting, incident management, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for a high-performance, low-latency trading platform.
• Monitor system health, trading workflows, and platform behavior for reliability.
• Respond to production incidents, drive triage and resolution across teams.
• Support front-office users by investigating trading issues and time-sensitive problems.
• Own and improve monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and dashboards.
• Develop automation, runbooks, and tools to reduce operational risk.
