CG FinTech in Hong Kong is seeking a detail-oriented Trading Operations Officer to support the precious metals trading desk. You will monitor client positions, margins, and trading platforms, and collaborate with Risk, Technology and Customer Service to ensure accurate operations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, fast response in a dynamic market, and preparation of daily, weekly and monthly operations reports.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in precious metals trading or trading operations.
• Experience as a member firm of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX) is essential.
• Proficiency in Cantonese; Mandarin preferred.
• Knowledge of gold, silver or other precious metals products.
• Experience using or monitoring MT4, MT5, MF or similar platforms.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Trading Operations Officer to support the daily operations of our precious metals trading desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring trading activities, client positions, margin levels and trading platforms, while coordinating with relevant internal teams to ensure smooth and accurate trading operations.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Support the daily operations of the precious metals trading and dealing desk.
• Monitor client trading activities, open positions, margin levels and overall trading exposure.
• Monitor the operation and performance of trading platforms and promptly elevate any unusual activities, discrepancies or system issues.
• Follow up on trade orders, execution records, pricing discrepancies and other trading-related matters.
• Assist in handling abnormal trades, system incidents and operational issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Risk, Technology, Customer Service and other relevant teams to resolve trading and platform-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly trading operations reports.
• Support trading platform enhancements, system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), where required.
• Ensure all trading activities and operational records are handled in accordance with internal procedures and applicable industry requirements.
• Perform other trading operations and dealing desk duties assigned by the manager.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in precious metals trading, dealing operations or trading operations.
• Hands-on working experience with a member firm of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX), formerly CGSE, is essential.
• Practical knowledge of gold, silver or other precious metals trading products.
• Experience using or monitoring MT4, MT5, MF or other relevant trading platforms.
• Familiarity with trade monitoring, client positions, margin levels, trading exposure and abnormal trade handling.
• Strong numerical awareness with close attention to accuracy and detail.
• Good risk awareness and the ability to respond calmly and promptly in a fast-moving trading environment.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with different departments.
• Proficiency in Cantonese is required; Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
• HKGX-related dealer registration or relevant professional qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
