Job summary

Flow Traders in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Trading Operations Engineer to ensure stability, performance, and scalability of proprietary trading systems and supporting infrastructure.

You will collaborate with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams to optimize connectivity, reduce latency, and maintain production systems across global markets. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, automation, and cross‑functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in a Trading Operations, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering role within a proprietary trading or high‑frequency trading (HFT) environment.
• Deep expertise in Unix/Linux systems, with proven ability to manage latency‑sensitive production environments.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, with additional experience in Go, Bash, or C++ considered a plus.
• Practical understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, multicast, routing, and DNS, with experience performing network packet analysis.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to technical issues affecting in-house trading applications.
• Optimize infrastructure for business needs and latency.
• Utilise project- and change-management tools to maintain trading infrastructure.
• Analyse and enhance exchange connectivity; investigate latency issues and bottlenecks.
