Job summary

Sunshine Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, the international investment arm of Sunshine Insurance Group, seeks an experienced Execution Trader in Hong Kong to execute orders across global equities, fixed income and funds, ensuring compliance with internal policies and SFC rules.

You will optimize execution, manage counterparty relationships, and maintain trade records; strong English and Mandarin, plus Bloomberg EMSX and OMS familiarity, are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Around 5 years of hands-on execution trading experience in asset management, hedge funds, or sell-side desks in Hong Kong.
• SFC Type 1 license (Type 4/9 are a plus but not required).
• Proficiency with Bloomberg EMSX and OMS systems.
• Basic automation with Python or VBA is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining trading policies and procedures aligned with the firm's strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all trading activities adhere to internal risk management and compliance guidelines.
• Review all investment trade instructions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with mandate restrictions and pre-trade limits.
• Proactively identify, flag, and rectify any trading errors or irregular behaviors, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders when necessary.
• Execute investment orders efficiently across a range of asset classes, including: Global Equities, Fixed Income, Fund Products (ETFs, mutual funds).
• Utilize various execution algorithms, electronic trading platforms to achieve best execution.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all trades.
• Organize and archive trade-related documentation in compliance with internal and SFC record-keeping requirements.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by senior management.

Role Overview

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Execution Trader to join our Hong Kong-based asset management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing investment orders across global equity, fixed income, and fund products, while ensuring compliance with both internal policies and SFC regulatory standards. You will play a key role in optimizing trade execution, managing counterparty relationships, and maintaining accurate trade documentation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Approximately 5 years of hands-on execution trading experience within an asset management firm, hedge fund, or reputable sell-side desk in Hong Kong
• Holder of SFC Type 1 license (Type 4 and 9 are a plus but not required)
• Proficient with Bloomberg EMSX, and various OMS
• Working knowledge of Python/VBA for basic automation is a plus
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is essential
• Detail-oriented, strong sense of risk control, ability to work under pressure during volatile markets, and excellent communication skills
